Order of Catholic Initiation for Adults (OCIA) refers to the process of spiritual and educational formation by which adults become full members of the Roman Catholic Church.
OCIA welcomes people who:
- have never been baptized
- are baptized in another Christian tradition who now wish to become Roman Catholic
- were baptized Catholic at infancy but never practiced the Catholic Faith
- still need to receive First Communion and or Confirmation
- want to understand more about the Catholic Faith
The weekly OCIA gatherings facilitate a journey of faith during which a person is introduced to the faith, life, liturgy, and apostolic work of the Catholic Community.
The OCIA Program (Order of Catholic Initiation of Adults), is held on Sunday mornings after the 9:00am Mass. Classes are in person and are held in the Parish Hall. Classes begin September 8, 2024 from 10:00am-11:30am. The cost of the program is $150 and this covers everything for the program which includes:
- Bible
- Participant Workbook & Prayerbook
** Please note that there may be an additional cost for those who are being baptized.
For an introduction to OCIA, an orientation meeting in September will be scheduled in which all aspects of the program will be explained.
